Start with the honest part
No honest company can promise every stain comes out. Anyone who does is selling you a promise they cannot keep. What professional cleaning reliably does is lift embedded dirt, treat common stains, and neutralize odor at the source. What it cannot do is reverse dye damage or fix urine that has soaked through the pad into the subfloor.
Why pets change the method
Surface cleaning moves pet odor around. Enzyme treatment breaks down the compounds causing it. That is why pet households get enzyme treatment as a separate step rather than a stronger detergent, and why we ask about accidents before quoting rather than after.
How often, realistically
A Houston home with pets and children benefits from professional carpet cleaning every six to twelve months, and high-traffic lanes sooner. Between visits, the single most effective thing is vacuuming twice a week in traffic lanes, because what grinds carpet fibers down is grit, not stains.
Drying time and Houston humidity
Expect a few hours, depending on airflow, humidity and carpet type. Run ceiling fans and the air conditioning. Humid Houston days at the tail end of summer are the slowest, which is worth knowing if you are cleaning carpet the day before guests arrive.
What to do about furniture
We work carefully around furniture and can discuss moving light pieces when you book. Heavy or fragile items stay where they are. If you want wall-to-wall coverage, moving small furniture out of the room yourself before we arrive is the fastest way to get it.
When to stop cleaning and replace
If odor returns within days of a proper enzyme treatment, the problem is under the carpet, not in it. At that point cleaning again is money spent on a symptom. We tell you when we see it, because sending you a second invoice for the same problem is not how we want to do business.
